If you build or rebuild crab pots for a fleet, you buy components by the thousand, on a season, from whoever answers the phone. We'd like to be that.
We mold it. There's no one between us and you.
Hooks, rings and excluders come off our press at 6400 Frankford Ave in Baltimore, get measured, get boxed, and ship to you. No distributor margin, no importer's container schedule. We build inventory so reorders are easy.
Every part is dimensioned and it fits
Hooks: 4-1/4" overall, 3-1/2" cinch center to hook center, which fits a standard commercial pot door in every blue crab state. We publish the center-to-center because that's the number that decides fit.
Rings: 2-5/16" and 2-3/8" inside diameter, held to the print, measured every run. The state table says which is legal where.
Pricing
Dealer and builder pricing is on the price sheet, with terms. Season commitments over 10,000 hooks or 5,000 rings are quoted; a builder supplying a basin gets a builder's number.
We cut our own tooling
The shop that molds these is a toolmaking shop. If your pot runs a shorter span, a different cinch, or a ring size we don't list, we can cut it, and the minimum is a run, not a container. A door hook for 1/2" mesh pots is in design discussion now. Custom components.
What we ask
Tell us what breaks. A hook that fails in your customer's pot is data we want, and it's how the next revision happens. Send the picture.
